Caleb Landry Jones

Caleb Landry Jones is an American actor and musician, best known for his roles as “Banshee in X-Men: First Class” (2011), Jeremy Armitage in “Get Out” (2017), and Red Welby in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” (2017). Jones was born in Garland, Texas, the son of Patrick and Cindy Jones. As a child, his family relocated to the nearby city of Richardson, where he was raised, and where he discovered his affinity for acting in the magnet program at RHS. Jones’s sophomore year, he had the opportunity through his theatre class to audition for the Linda McAlister Talent Agency. He was accepted almost immediately, and his first major audition was with the Coen Brothers for their movie, “No Country for Old Men,” in which he was cast. Soon after, Jones began to receive work in television, appearing in “Friday Night Lights” as Jimmy Adler and in “Breaking Bad” as Louis. Jones then had supporting roles in “The Last Exorcism,” released in 2010, and “X-Men: First Class,” released in 2011. Jones has continued to appear in supporting roles in both independent and mainstream films. In 2017, he appeared in “The Florida Project,” “Get Out” and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” All three films received nominations at the 90th Academy Awards; the latter two films were both nominated for Best Picture.

maur sophie sela

Maur Sela began college very sure that she wanted to be a stage manager. She had been stage-managing since her first year at RHS and had not even considered anything else. By her third semester at the University of Texas – Austin, however, she had realized that stage management wasn’t for her. She thought perhaps that she might enjoy costuming, but then she met Allison, the Wig and Makeup Specialist for the UT Theatre Department. Maur realized two things--ventilating (wig building) was the coolest thing she had ever seen, and secondly, she had finally found my people. Allison was brassy, sassy, and dangerously talented. Maur immediately asked to be put on the waiting list for Allison’s class and was fortunate that someone had dropped out and she had an opening the very next semester. The next two years, Maur spent training under her guidance, and the day before she walked the stage to receive her diploma, she got a call from her good friend Trey (another RHS alum). He asked if she wanted to come live with him in New York! While she did not land a job in NYC, Maur did meet a very successful wig master that gave her a recommendation for one of the best apprentice programs in the country. She spent two summer seasons as an apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera and went back to school in Austin to get her cosmetology license in between summers. Santa Fe Opera gave her the best possible work experience and was a great opportunity to network and build her resume. From there, Maur got a job at the Alley Theatre in Houston, spent another summer on staff in Santa Fe, tried her hand at freelancing in Boston, and finally landed her dream job at the San Francisco Opera. She currently works forty hours a week in the wig shop and occasionally work backstage. Maur’s a member of IATSE and during the offseason, she work shows backstage for the San Francisco Ballet or occasionally Broadway tours as a local hire.
